Pedestrian dies following road incident in Sligo

A female pedestrian has lost her life following a road incident in Sligo last night.

The woman believed to be in her 20’s died following the traffic incident on the N15 at Moneygold which is situated between Grange and Cliffoney.

The incident took place between 10 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. last night.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a garda examination of the scene and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, particularly those with dash cam footage.
