St Eunan’s completed a historic year for the club winning the Under 21 Donegal Hurling Championship with a 2-06 to 1-06 win over Setanta in Burt.

Goals from Oisin Randle and Paul O’Donnell helped the Cathedral Town side to the three point win on Sunday afternoon.

Brian Dooher reacts to Tyrone’s draw with Monaghan in National League

Tyrone and Monaghan played out a nine point apiece draw in a tight tussle in Healy Park in Omagh.

The All Ireland Champions had led six points to four at half time but Monaghan fought back in the second half to earn themselves a point.

The sides finished level on nine points a piece with Conor McManus coming off the bench to equal up the game for the Farney County.

Golds for Donegal athletes in University Championships, Ulster Masters and National Masters

There were golds for Donegal athletes over the weekend in the University Championships, Ulster Masters and the National Masters.

James Kelly of Lyit and Finn Valley AC earned gold with a throw of 16.94m in the Shot Put at the University Championships.

At the Ulster Masters Cross Country, Teresa Doherty won in 14 minutes and two seconds in Belfast.

Meanwhile in the National Masters, Catriona Devine claimed victory in the 1500m with her sister Sinead McConnell earning gold in the 3k walk.

Ciara Kearns and Bosco Reid  also earned themselves gold medals with Tir Chonaill AC’s Geraldine Stewart  and Martin Cunningham getting golds.

St Eunan’s complete historic year with Under 21 Hurling title

St Eunan’s have won their sixth title for 2021 after they beat Setanta in the Under 21 Hurling final on Sunday afternoon.

The Cathedral Town were 2-6 to 1-6 victors.

The Under 21 title adds to the Senior Hurling title, Senior men Senior Reserve, U-21  Football Championship, as well as the Ladies Intermediate Championship.

Watch: Declan Bonner on Donegal’s draw with Mayo

Donegal began their National League campaign with an 11 points a piece draw with Mayo in Sligo’s Markievicz Park on Sunday afternoon.

Declan Bonner’s side lead seven points to three at half time.

Patrick McBrearty then saw his penalty saved in the second half before Mayo rallied back in the final quarter to seal a point.

Donegal manager Declan Bonner believes they’re positives to take in the draw.

Up to 44,000 may be impacted by EU Digital Covid Cert travel changes

Roughly 44,000 people won’t be able to travel overseas from next week under new EU travel rules which are set to take effect from the 1st of Feburary.

Anyone who has not received a booster dose of a Covid-19 vaccine will see their EU covid cert for travel expire after 9 months.

The Sunday Times estimate today of the 480,000 people fully vaccinated before May 1st last year, about 44,000 have yet to receive a booster.

The game finished 11 points a piece with Donegal’s Patrick McBrearty missing a penalty.

Donegal’s Michael Langan was named man of the match after he fired over four points.
