Finn Harps suffered a 2-0 defeat against St Pat’s on Friday night at Finn Park.

Jack Scott opened the scoring for the visitors on 65 minutes tapping into the empty net after Mark McGinley in the Harps goal had tipped Ian Bermingham’s shot onto the post.

Tim Clancy’s side then sealed their win with 12 minutes to go when Eoin Doyle’s header crept over the line after it bounced off the post.

After the game, Harps midfielder Mark Timlin spoke with Diarmaid Doherty.

Finn Harps were beaten at home for the first time this season on Friday night, going down 2-0 against St Pat’s.

Second half goals from Jack Scott and Eoin Doyle helped move Pats to joint top of the table.

The defeat see Harps routed to the bottom of the table on goal difference.

Finn Harps tasted defeat at home for the first time this season, losing 2-0 against St Pat’s.

Jack Scott opened the scoring for the Saints on 65 minutes before Eoin Doyle headed in the second to seal Tim Clancy’s sides win.

Michael Harris signs for Colorado Rapids

MLS side Colorado Rapids have confirmed the signing of Donegal’s Michael Harris.

Harris will play for Colorado Rapids 2 in the MLS MNEXT PRO in what will be the league’s inaugural season.

The 19-year-old impressed for Derry City Under 19’s last season and scored the winning penalty as they claimed the EA Sports Enda McGuill Cup with a victory over Bohemians.

The striker was out of contract at the Ryan McBride Brandywell and had been offered a professional deal to play for the Candystripes.

Katie Herron on LYIT Moynihan Cup defeat

 

The LYIT lost out by two points to MTU Cork  in Friday’s Ladies Higher Education Moynihan Cup.

It finished MTU 3-10 LYIT 2-11 at the DCU Grounds in Dublin.

Planned works may disrupt water supply in Kilmacrennan

Residents in Kilmacrennan may experience some disruption to their water supply for a time next week. 

These works are part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme.

Mains repair works may cause supply disruptions to Milltown, Kilmacrennan and surrounding areas.

Works are scheduled to take place from 10am until 2pm on  Monday 14th March.

Irish water recommends that allowing 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.
