Connor Carville happy to get into Ulster Senior Football Championship Semi Final

Glen will play Kilcoo in the Semi Final of the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship after they earned a 1-18 to 0-12 win over Scotstown of Monaghan.

At the break, Glen had led by 0-11 to 0-06 and continued to hold the advantage throughout the second half with Ciaran and Darren Hughes both sent off.

Ryan Connelly is the latest to re-sign at Finn Park

Ryan Connolly has re-signed with Finn Harps for next season.

The Mayo man, who has previously played with Derby, Sligo, Galway and Shamrock Rovers appeared twenty times for Harps last season in all competitions.

Connolly told Finnharps.ie: “It’s great to have things sorted so soon after the season and I’m just buzzing to get back to it now. I had a bit of a tough time with injuries last season but hopefully the worst of it is behind me now and I can hit the ground running and have a good campaign. We’d a really good group last year so if we can keep the most of it together we’ll be in good shape. Up the Harps

FT Report & Reaction as Steelstown reach Ulster Intermediate Championship Semi Final

Steelstown advanced to the Semi Final of the Ulster Intermediate Club Championship after they beat Donaghmoyne of Monaghan 4-13 to 2-07.

At halftime Steelstwon trailed 2-03 to 1-03 but a strong second half showing saw them advance.

Top level crisis management team meet ahead of Storm Barra

 

A top level crisis management team meeting has taken place ahead of the arrival of Storm Barra.

The National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management’s Crisis Management Team, conducted a virtual meeting today with Met Éireann, the OPW, and Local Authority Severe Weather Assessment Teams.

The key public safety messages are for people to stay away from all coastal areas for the duration of the Met Éireann warnings.

All road users should be aware of the hazardous traveling conditions, and only necessary journeys should be undertaken.

Motorists should slow down and be aware of the dangers of fallen trees and debris.

As conditions will vary throughout the event, people need to take account of the local conditions and advice from their Local Authority.
