Derry beat Sligo in National Hurling League opener

Derry claimed their first win of their National League campaign on Saturday afternoon.
The Oakleaf county beat Sligo 2-14 to 1-14 in Celtic Park.
Goals from Tiernan McHugh and Gerald Butler along with nine points from Cormac O’Doherty helped Derry to victory.
