Fine for parking on footpaths doubles

Fines for parking on footpaths, cycle tracks and bus lanes double from today.

The penalty is increasing from 40 to 80 euro.

Announcing the move last month, the Transport Minister Eamon Ryan said it would encourage a more considerate use of road space and promote active travel.
