Money expert says electric car pays for itself in petrol savings

You don’t need me to tell you that fuel prices are through the roof and the worsening geopolitical situation is adding worrying levels of fog in front of the light at the end of this tunnel.

The most recent price survey from AA Ireland found petrol has gone up by 62% in the last two years and diesel by a staggering 70%. The average price per litre of diesel is now €1.90, while petrol is €1.82, meaning motorists can expect to spend about €680 and €700 more on petrol and diesel respectively this year.

As such, there’s never been a better time to make the switch to an electric vehicle, according to Money Mindset Coach and Financial Adviser Kel Galavan, aka Mrs Smart Money.
