If you’ve lost your job, you may be entitled to certain social welfare payments – for example, you may be able to claim Jobseeker’s Benefit, which is up to €208 per week (plus up to  €138 extra if you have an adult dependent, such as a spouse or cohabitant).

Tax and social welfare assistance is also available for low income earners and their families or if your business has closed, or if you are self-employed but have less work and less income than before, you may qualify for a social welfare payment.
